Palette Knife effect

I edited an old photo taken as part of a MUA shoot from last year and decided to give it a sort of photo into palette paint effect.  Was reasonably pleased how it came out.

The effect is achieved by duplicating the layer and using the liquify tool to expand the image to cover a larger area.  Then using a palette style brush on the layer masks to reveal and hide different part of the image.  Below is the before and after.
